ISPM 15 Fumigation
In an effort to mitigate the introduction and spread of plant/plant product pests during international trade, raw wood packaging materials must first be ISPM 15 certified. Fumigating such packaging materials with Methyl Bromide gas is often done to ensure that they meet the International Standards for Phytosanitary measures (ISPM 15)
|
Ship Fumigation
Destination ports in countries such as Australia often require a ship’s cargo to be properly fumigated in order to pass quarantine. Vectrol Pest Management performs such services to ensure that your cargo passes the phytosanitary requirements of its destination port. |

With our team of highly trained fumigators, we also provide fumigation services for containers and their cargo to ensure that it arrives safely at its destination without any case of infestation.
Container Fumigation - The exported cargo stuffed within the shipping Container is fumigated. The gas Methyl Bromide held for a minimum period and then ventilated. The doors of the container are finally sealed which allow the container to be dispatched. |
An LCL cargo is too small to occupy an entire container so it is ship together with a mixed cargo of other LCL items belonging to other owners inside the same container.
For fumigation purposes, the cargo is usually kept separate from others. |
|
 |
Both Container and LCL fumigation conducted at the Forwarding Agent’s premises, with the items being treated with fumigant under a gas-proof sheeting, and held under gas until the minimum period is over, and the fumigant has been safely ventilated. A Fumigation Certificate is subsequently issued for the treated contents and the Container according to the AGRI-FOOD & VETERINARY AUTHORITY (AVA) regulations.
